Important information for a successful move with Worry Free Moving LLC
UNDERSTANDING YOUR PROTECTION OPTIONS
By federal law, all moving companies must offer at least two different liability options. We want you to make an informed decision about protecting your possessions during transit.
Basic Coverage (Released Value)
- Released Value Protection
- $0.60 per pound per article
- No additional cost
- Minimal protection
- Example: 10lb item = $6 coverage
- Automatically provided unless specified otherwise
- Weight-based compensation only
Full Value Protection
- Complete item coverage
- Repair, replace, or cash settlement
- Additional cost applies
- Must declare item values
- Deductible options available
- Coverage for actual item value
- Protection against loss or damage
Important: You must select your preferred valuation option before your move begins. Once your belongings are loaded onto our trucks, valuation options cannot be changed.

For safety and legal reasons, these items cannot be transported in our moving vehicles:
SERVICE TERMS AND PAYMENT INFORMATION
Pricing Structure
- Hourly rates for local moves
- Fixed rates for long-distance moves based on truck size and distance
- 14% fuel surcharge applies to all moves
- Special pricing structure for moves over 250 miles
- Minimum 2-hour charge for all services
- Travel time is included in hourly rate within service area
Accepted Payment Methods
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

- Cashier's checks (made out to Worry Free Moving LLC)
- Payment is due upon completion of the move
- 50% deposit required for moves over $2,000
- Personal checks not accepted
Cancellation Policy
- More than 7 days notice: No charge
- 3-7 days notice: $50 fee
- 1-2 days notice: $100 fee
- Same day cancellation: 1-hour minimum charge
- Any deposit paid will be applied toward cancellation fees
- Rescheduling with at least 48 hours notice incurs no penalties
Additional Fees
Premium services and unforeseen circumstances may require additional charges. These specialized services reflect the value of our equipment, expertise, and time commitment.

CLAIMS PROCESS
Step 1: Document
Report damage to the moving crew before they leave. Note any damages on the delivery paperwork.
Step 2: Photograph
Take clear photos of all damaged items showing the full item and close-ups of the damage.
Step 3: File Claim
Submit a written claim within 30 days using our claim form. Include all photos and documentation.
Step 4: Assessment
Our claims department will review your claim and may request additional information or inspection.
Step 5: Resolution
Within 30 days of receiving your complete claim, we will offer repair, replacement, or compensation based on your coverage.

Our delivery time estimates:
- Local moves (under 35 miles): Same day
- Short distance (35-100 miles): 1-2 days
- Medium distance (100-500 miles): 2-5 days
- Long distance (over 500 miles): 5-14 days
Factors affecting delivery time include weather, road conditions, and seasonal demand.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

- Remove items from drawers and empty/clean appliances
- Notify building management about the move
- Remove wall hangings and disassemble furniture when possible
- Prepare an inventory of all items to be moved
- Be present or have a representative available
- Inspect items during loading and unloading
- Report any concerns immediately to the moving team
- Maintain clear access to all areas
- Direct furniture placement at the destination
- Keep pets and children away from work areas
- Sign all required paperwork at completion

Unpacking Services
- Basic unpacking: $85/hour
- Full home unpacking & organization: $95/hour
- Kitchen unpacking & setup: $150-250
- Furniture assembly: $75-200 depending on complexity
- Debris removal: $75-125
- TV mounting: $150 per TV
Important: Premium services require advance booking when possible. Unforeseen circumstances requiring specialized equipment or services will incur additional charges at premium rates. Our team will always inform you of potential additional charges before proceeding with premium services.

While we maintain comprehensive business insurance, this does not replace your responsibility to select appropriate valuation coverage for your belongings. Our business insurance covers liability for our operations but has different terms than your personal property coverage options.
YOUR LEGAL PROTECTIONS
As a customer of Worry Free Moving LLC, you are protected by various state and federal regulations that govern the moving industry. Understanding these protections can help ensure a positive moving experience.
For interstate moves (between states), you are protected by:
- U.S. Department of Transportation regulations
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) oversight
- The right to receive a written estimate
- Protection against excessive price increases
- The right to a delivery timeframe
- Access to dispute resolution services
For intrastate moves (within Ohio), you are protected by:
- Ohio Department of Transportation regulations
- Ohio Consumer Protection laws
- Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) oversight
- Right to fair and transparent billing
- Protection against deceptive business practices
You have the right to receive these documents:
- Written estimate before your move
- Order for Service
- Bill of Lading (your contract & receipt)
- Inventory list of your items
- Copy of the completed delivery paperwork
- Information about the mover's dispute settlement program
PREPARING FOR A SUCCESSFUL MOVE
Planning Ahead
- Book your move at least 4-6 weeks in advance during peak season (May-September)
- Begin sorting and decluttering your home 6-8 weeks before moving day
- Collect free boxes from local stores or purchase supplies 3-4 weeks in advance
- Create a detailed inventory of valuable or fragile items
- Research parking requirements and building policies at both locations
One Week Before
- Confirm your moving date and details with Worry Free Moving LLC
- Secure elevator access and loading dock reservations if needed
- Arrange for parking permits or reserved space for the moving truck
- Pack a "first night" box with essentials you'll need immediately
- Prepare a floor plan for your new home to guide furniture placement
Day Before Moving
- Finish all packing except essentials needed for the final night
- Empty, defrost, and clean refrigerator and freezer
- Charge phones, tablets, and laptops for moving day
- Prepare payment for movers according to your agreement
- Get a good night's rest before the big day
Moving Day Success
- Be ready 15-30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time
- Keep important documents, valuables, and medications with you
- Provide clear instructions to the moving team about special handling
- Maintain open communication throughout the process
- Conduct a final walkthrough of your old home before leaving
Pro Tip: Keep a moving-day essentials bag with you containing water bottles, snacks, phone chargers, basic tools, toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning supplies. This will make the transition much smoother at both locations.

FINAL REMINDERS AND DISCLAIMERS
Timing: Scheduled move times are estimates and can be affected by factors beyond our control, including weather, traffic, and access issues. We will make every effort to keep to the scheduled time and will communicate any potential delays.
Liability: Our liability is limited to the valuation option you select. Full understanding of these options is the customer's responsibility.
Prohibited Items: Customers are responsible for ensuring no prohibited items are packed for transport. Worry Free Moving LLC reserves the right to refuse transport of any items that violate our policies or federal/state regulations.
Payment Terms: Final payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Service Modifications: Any changes to the agreed upon services may result in additional charges and/or time requirements.
