Local Moves (Up to 249 miles)

  • Hourly rates based on crew size (2, 3, or 4 person crews)
  • 14% fuel surcharge applies
  • 3-hour minimum booking required
  • Drive time calculated based on distance from our location
  • Return trip charged if destination is far from our base

Long Distance Moves (250+ miles)

  • Flat rate based on estimated labor and miles
  • Includes estimated loading/unloading time
  • Travel costs incorporated into rate
  • Fuel surcharge included in quote

  • Basic Coverage: Always free, $0.60 per pound
  • FVP $0 deductible: ~$187.50 local / ~$300 long distance
  • FVP $500 deductible: ~$135 local / ~$216 long distance
  • FVP $1,000 deductible: ~$98 local / ~$156 long distance

Example: Average Home Move ($30,000 in eligible items)

  • Basic Coverage: Always free, $0.60 per pound
  • FVP $0 deductible: ~$750 local / ~$1,200 long distance
  • FVP $500 deductible: ~$542 local / ~$867 long distance
  • FVP $1,000 deductible: ~$392 local / ~$626 long distance

Important Coverage Notes

  • Interstate moves: You have 9 months from delivery to file claims (federal requirement)
  • Antiques: Only covered at $0.60/lb - we recommend separate insurance for valuable pieces
  • Self-packed boxes: Limited coverage, requires visible box damage for claims
  • Particle board furniture: Excluded from coverage as it's prone to damage during normal handling
Day Before Moving Checklist
Finish packing all non-essential items
Set aside important items to transport personally (medications, jewelry, documents, electronics)
Pack basic toiletries and change of clothes for first night
Clear pathways for movers
Remove items from walls (pictures, mirrors, TVs)
Defrost refrigerator if moving it (at least 24 hours before)

Moving Day Guide

Before Movers Arrive

  • Be ready at scheduled time

During the Move

  • Be available for questions throughout the move
  • Review inventory as items are loaded
